A. Thank you very much for contacting us.  Currently, to test for a Krav Maga Worldwide (KMW) / Krav Maga Association of America (KMAA) Yellow Belt a student must attend live (in-person) training for a minimum of four (4) months,  and attend a minimum of forty (40) classes at a Krav Maga Worldwide affiliate (or one of our HQ training centers in the Los Angeles area).  Although the online Academy is a fantastic training resource, it is designed to provide practical self-defense skills to students that do not live near a certified training center or students that want to supplement their in-person training, rather than a means to advance through the KMW / KMAA belt system. We know there are many Academy students that would like to test and receive feedback on the Krav Maga knowledge and skills they’ve learned online.  With this in mind, we are considering developing an online/Academy-only testing process in 2019.  Although this would still not make a student eligible for their Yellow belt, we are looking into developing a different advancement track that will be rewarded with a certificate and another item (other than belt) for their achievement.  If/when this goes into effect, you will receive an announcement. We encourage you to continue your training online.  We recommend 2x a week for 45 minutes to 1 hour each time.  Please feel free to contact us again if you have any additional questions.
